The Air Force's newest sensor system for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has "significant limitations," says an internal Air Force report cited by the Los Angeles Times.
The Air Force planned to field the Gorgon Stare system aboard MQ-9 Reaper UAVs to Afghanistan this winter.
The system, which has been in development for two years, transmits video from nine cameras, capable of covering a city-wide area.
