Air Force, Shin Bet Strike Back After Rocket Attack

Israeli warplanes have attacked what the military called a terrorist base in central Gaza and a smuggling tunnel in the southern part of the strip, the Jerusalem Post reports.

The Tuesday night air force operation was carried out with the Shin Bet security service, an Israeli military spokesman said.

The attacks were said to be a response to a Kassam rocket fired from Gaza into the Ashkelon area on Tuesday afternoon.
