Air Force Seeks Choppers Being Used By U.N.

The Indian air force has asked India's permanent U.N. mission for permission to withdraw air force helicopters serving the U.N. in Africa to support anti-Maoist operations at home, reports the Calcutta Telegraph.
The Defense Ministry has sought to bring home 17 Mi-17 utility and eight Mi-24 and Mi-35 attack helicopters that have been sent to U.N. missions in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan.
