Air Force Said To Be On Verge Of US$1 Billion Deal For Trainer Aircraft

The Swiss Pilatus Aircraft company is about to finalize a record deal with the Indian air force for 75 PC-7 trainers, Agence France-Presse reports.
The potential deal is worth 850 million francs ($1 billion), according to the Swiss daily Le Temps, which broke the story.
The order could eventually be extended to as many as 200 of the single-engine turboprop planes, according to the Swiss paper.
Pilatus declined to comment on the report.
