Air Force Reveals New Proposed Categories For Officers

The U.S. Air Force is preparing to redesignate its officers into six new competitive categories, reports the Air Force Times.
Currently, about 87 percent of officers fall under the Line of the Air Force category.
On Thursday, Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson discussed the proposed changes with reporters. She emphasized that the proposal was still just a draft, but that the service was leaning toward dividing the Line of the Air Force into six categories.
