Air Force, Pentagon Still Behind Satellite Program

The Pentagon and the U.S. Air Force say they remain committed to the Transformational Satellite Communications System (TSAT) program despite several budget cuts and a program restructure, the Air Force Times reports.
The original TSAT program was canceled in late December and replaced with a scaled-down version.
A request for proposals will be issued in April, said Gary Payton, deputy under secretary of the Air Force for space programs, and a $11 billion contract is expected...
