The Ghanaian air force and navy have launched a joint operation to protect fish supplies in the nation's territorial waters, reports the Daily Graphic (Ghana).
Operation Stock Control is aimed at deterring the practice of pair trawling and ensuring Ghanaian fishermen have access to the country's marine resources.
The navy has acquired three new speedboats. They will collaborate with air force aircraft to combat pair trawlers.
