Air Force Moves Forward On Light Attack Program

The U.S. Air Force has issued a final request for proposals to acquire four to six light attack aircraft from Sierra Nevada and Textron Aviation, reports the Air Force News Service. The service announced on Oct. 25 that it planned to purchase two to three A-29 Super Tucanos from Sierra Nevada, teamed with Brazil’s Embraer, and two to three AT-6 Wolverines from Textron.
