The Indian air force is seeking to acquire unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs), Defense News reports.
Unidentified defense companies in Europe, Israel, Russia and the United States have been sent requests for information for the aircraft.
Air force officials said the UCAVs would be reusable and function as modern combat aircraft. The aircraft are expected to be used to fight terrorists in northern Jammu and Kashmir, on the border with Pakistan.
