Air Force Hopes To Attract UAV Pilots With Bonuses

The U.S. Air Force says it is going to offer bonuses to address a critical shortage of unmanned aerial vehicle pilots.
Operators of the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper will be eligible for a bonus of US$15,000 per year beginning in fiscal year 2016, said an Air Force release on Wednesday.
The pilots will be able to choose between a critical skills retention bonus of five or nine years, or US$75,000 or US$135,000 in total.
