The U.S. Air Force's fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is under severe operational and personnel strains, according to internal service documents cited by the Daily Beast.
The service has sufficient MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper air vehicles but not enough operators, according to senior military officials and an internal memo.
The Air Combat Command has been resisting the Pentagon's demand for more drone flights due to the strain.
