Lt. Gen. Tom Lawson has received a fourth star and official begun his duties as the head of the Canadian military, reports the Globe and Mail (Toronto).
Lawson, an air force officer, formally assumed his new duties during a ceremony on Monday.
Lawson is a former fighter pilot with 37 years of air force experience; he served most recently as the deputy commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) in Colorado, reported CBC News.
