Air Force Formally Receives 1st Gripen E In Sweden

Saab has formally delivered the first Gripen E fighter jet for the Brazilian air force, reports the Swedish defense firm.
The aircraft was handed over in a ceremony on Sept.10, in Linkoping, Sweden.
The jet will be used to support the test program in Sweden before flying to Brazil in 2020 to continue trials there.
The first of 36 Gripen E/F aircraft will be delivered to the Brazilian air force in 2021.
