Southern Sudan, which is expected to become an independent country after a recent referendum on succession passed nearly unanimously, has officially set up an air force as part of the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA), reports the Sudan Tribune.
President Salva Kiir officially launched the air force during a ceremony in Juba, the capital of the South Sudan region.
