Air Force Drops Requirement For Advanced Russian Fighters From 127 To 65

The Indian air force has cut back considerably on its plans for advanced Russian PAK-FA fighters, reports the Tribune (India).

In an effort to reduce costs and imports of military equipment, the service has decided it will only acquire three squadrons of the fifth-generation fighters, or about 65 jets.

Previous plans called for 127 PAK-FA fighters to be jointly produced with Russia.
