Air Force Chooses Sniper Targeting Pod For F-16s, Makes Initial Order

The Taiwanese air force has selected the Sniper advanced targeting pod for its F-16 fighters, reports Lockheed Martin, which builds the system.

As part of an initial contract, Lockheed will deliver two Sniper pods and integration support, according to a company release last week. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Lockheed Martin will also provide integration support for LANTIRN targeting and navigation pods for Taiwan's recently upgraded F-16s.
