Air Force Buys New C-130Js

Lockheed Martin has received a major Air Force contract for new cargo aircraft, reports the Dept. of Defense.

The $827.4 million contract covers advance procurement for three Air Force C-130Js, four HC-130Js and four MC-130Js in fiscal 2010.

The contract also includes an option for an additional HC-130J aircraft.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting authority.
