Air Force Awards $1.3 Billion Contract For Satellite

Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Sunnyvale, Calif., has received contract modification to build a fourth advanced extremely high frequency (AEHF) satellite, reports the Dept. of Defense.

The $1.3 billion contract covers delivery of the satellite; systems engineering; system level factory test; system database management functions; systems level support; and program management, said the Pentagon.

Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting authority.
