Uganda plans to deploy military aircraft in Somalia as part of the African Union mission against Al-Shabaab, says an air force spokesman, as cited by Xinhua, China's state news agency.
The aircraft in question, which are mainly helicopters, will be helpful in taking back territory seized by the militant group, for troop mobility and for medical and casualty evacuations, said the spokesman on Friday.
