Australia—Air Force, Army Test Next-Generation Precision Airdrop Technology

The Australian army and air force have successfully tested next-generation joint precision air drop systems (JPADS), reports the Australian Dept. of Defense. The new JPADS incorporate steerable parachutes, GPS guidance, a tablet for ground forces and the Ambassador modular autonomous guidance unit (MAGU) for the precision delivery of airdropped supplies.
