Officials say the Malaysian air force will receive its first Airbus A400M transport aircraft in January 2015, reports Bernama, Malaysia's national news agency.
Malaysia ordered four of the cargo aircraft in December 2005 for US$1.1 billion, with the contract including training and logistics.
Deliveries of all the aircraft are scheduled to be completed in 2016, said Gen. Tan Sri Rodzali Daud, the Malaysian air force chief.
