Russian air defense systems are being updated to better confront the threat posed by uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs), reports the Tass news agency (Moscow).
Systems capable of countering UAV swarms are under development, Lt. Gen. Yuri Grekhov, the deputy commander of the Russian aerospace force, told Ekho Moskvy (Moscow) on Sunday.
Among the systems currently in use, the Pantsyr can destroy rockets and drones, including hovering air vehicles, said Grekhov.
