The U.S. is reducing its military presence in the Middle East, reports the Wall Street Journal.
White House officials said that eight Patriot anti-missile batteries from Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan and Saudi Arabia and a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system from Saudi Arabia are being withdrawn, said officials.
The number of fighter jet squadrons deployed in the region is also being reduced.
