Air Defense Mission In Turkey Likely To Last Another Year

The German Cabinet has approved plans to deploy an air defense battery in Turkey for another year, reports the Anadolu News Agency (Turkey).
The Cabinet action took place on Wednesday.
Pending legislative approval, the decision will extend the deployment of Patriot missile batteries in Turkey until Jan. 31, 2016.
The defensive system was sent to help protect against potential threats from Syria.
Parliament's approval is exected later this month.
