The head of the Italian air force predicts that Europe's two next-generation fighter jet programs will eventually merge, reports Reuters. On Tuesday, Gen. Lucca Goretti said that the British-led Tempest and Franco-German Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programs would eventually become one due to efforts to strengthen European defense cooperation and financial constraints.
