Russian military engineers have erected a bridge close to the Syrian city of Deir Ezzor in support of Syrian forces, reports Tass (Russia).
The Syrian army, backed by Russian air power, has been fighting the Islamic State in the region.
It took the Russian experts under two days to deploy a 689-foot MARM small dismountable road bridge across the Euphrates River a few miles from the city, said a Russian Defense Ministry official on Tuesday.
