The Chinese and Vietnamese navies have agreed to continue their joint patrols in the Beibu Gulf, reports China Military Online.
The annual meeting for the joint patrols was held this week at the South China Sea Fleet's base in Zhanjiang.
The navies said the efforts will be maintained in the Beibu Gulf in 2015 to ensure its security.
The two countries have conducted 17 joint patrols in the region since establishing the mechanism in 2005.
