Agreement Inked With Qatar To Expand Al Udeid Air Base

The U.S. and Qatari governments have finalized an agreement to expand and moderize Al Udeid Air Base near Doha, reports the Sputnik news agency (Russia).

On Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, in Doha to discuss regional security. 

The leaders discussed the crisis between the Gulf countries, the Middle East peace process, the situation in Afghanistan and Syria and coordination in counterterrorism efforts. ...
