India's Defense Ministry has ordered 10 C-17 airlifters from Boeing, Agence France-Presse reports.
The signing of the deal was announced Wednesday by Boeing.
India will take delivery of its C-17 Globemaster III transports in 2013 and 2014, Boeing officials said.
The order is said to be the biggest defense deal ever between the two powers. It makes India C-17's largest international customer, according to a Boeing release.
