The first Harvest Hawk aircraft is expected to be be ready to deploy this summer, the Marine Corps Times reports.
The Harvest Hawk, an upgraded KC-130J tanker, is armed with Hellfire missiles and sophisticated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance gear.
The aircraft is scheduled to undergo weapons tests this month at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, Calif., said Marine officials.
