The officer in charge of the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, has been fired, reports NBC News.
Capt. John Nettleton was relieved of command on Wednesday due to "loss of confidence" in his ability to command, according to a Navy statement.
A mysterious death on the base is being investigated by the Navy, reported the Miami Herald.
