The Army has signed a contract to purchase two Iron Dome air defense systems, reports Defense News.
The service is still working to finalize details and delivery schedules, an Army official affiliated with the acquisition told the newspaper on Aug. 8.
To fund the purchase, the Army will use money being moved around within its Indirect Fires Protection Capability (IFPC) to fill the gap in its cruise missile defense capability.
