The interim government in Kyrgyzstan has scheduled parliamentary and presidential elections for Oct. 10, the Voice of America News reports.
A referendum on a new constitution will take place on June 27, said interim Deputy Prime Minister Omurbek Tekebayev.
The current government took control of Kyrgyzstan on April 7, after opposition protesters clashed with security forces in the capital of Bishkek, and helped drive President Kurmanbek Bakiyev from the country.
