East Libyan forces say they have hit Islamic State militants with airstrikes near the coastal Libyan city of Sirte, reports Reuters.
ISIS has been setting up temporary checkpoints, attacking local forces and took over a village mosque near its former stronghold of Sirte, said Libyan officials.
The terrorists were driven out of Sirte in December by local forces, backed by U.S. airpower, but the latest activity suggest that ISIS might be regrouping.
