The Army Futures Command finally has its second commander, reports Defense News
 
On Tuesday, Gen. James Rainey was confirmed as the new chief during a Tuesday ceremony at the University of Texas-Austin.

Rainey previously served as the head of the G-3/5/7 operations, plans and training directorates at the Pentagon. He also led the Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. 

He succeeds Lt. Gen. James Richardson, who has served as acting commander since the first AFC...
