The Army Futures Command finally has its second commander, reports Defense News.
On Tuesday, Gen. James Rainey was confirmed as the new chief during a Tuesday ceremony at the University of Texas-Austin.
Rainey previously served as the head of the G-3/5/7 operations, plans and training directorates at the Pentagon. He also led the Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
