The Israeli military says it has fired artillery at Syrian army targets in the northern Golan Heights after a mortar shell from Syria landed in Israeli territory, reports the Jerusalem Post.
The mortar shell hit the Israeli-held Golan Heights late Wednesday; it caused no casualties or damage, said the military.
The shell was believed to be a wayward shell from fighting in Syria, rather than an intentional attack, said the IDF, as reported by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. ...
