After Heavy Fighting, SDF Repels ISIS Attackers Outside Raqqa

The Islamic State has reportedly been repulsed following a major attack Tuesday against the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) outside of Raqqa, the capital of the terrorist group's self-proclaimed caliphate in eastern Syria, reports Rudaw (Iraqi Kurdistan).

The fighting took place in al-Suwaydiyat al-Kabirah, west of Raqqa, and near the strategic Tabqa Dam, said the SDF.
