The Norwegian navy has christened the first of its Skjold-class fast patrol boats in a ceremony at the Umoe Mandal shipyard, reports the Norwegian Ministry of Defense.
Last week's ceremony was for the Storm, the first of six Skjold-class boats being built for the navy.
Engine problems have delayed the boats' entry into service, officials said.
Defense officials said the patrol boats are to be armed with the Naval Strike Missile and are designed for crisis-management...
