After Death Of Youth, Another Military Helicopter Deployed To Labrador

Following a widely publicized death, the Canadian government has decided to station a third CH-146 Griffon helicopter in central Labrador, reports CBC News.
Weeks of protests ensued after a teenager died in the region when he became lost on the sea ice outside of Makkovik on the north coast of Labrador.
The military has been blamed for not sending search-and-rescue helicopters in time. Officials said mechanical problems and poor weather delayed its assets.
