Two Syrian rebel groups backed by the West who are battling the Assad regime have been asked by their backers to retreat into Jordan, say rebel and diplomatic sources cited by Reuters.
The Syrian army, backed by Iranian militias and Russia air power, have surrounded those rebels in southeastern Syria.
Usoud al-Sharqiya and Martyr Ahmad Abdo, both part of the Free Syrian Army coalition, said they were told to stop fighting by their supporters in the Central Intelligence...
