After Breaking Down, Frigate Seeks Repairs In Singapore

A New Zealand frigate has broken down and is headed to Singapore for urgent repairs, reports the New Zealand Press Agency.
According to the navy, the Te Mana was on a five-month deployment to Australia and Asia when divers discovered bearing problems on both A-brackets, which hold the propeller shafts, during a routine check in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The bearing showed excessive wear, but had not failed, said a navy spokesman.
