Hundreds of American troops who were stranded for days at the Manas airbase in Kyrgyzstan left for the United States on Thursday, reports the Marine Corps Times.
About 400 servicemen, mostly Marines bound for North Carolina, found themselves stuck in Manas after a violent uprising led to the ouster of the Kyrgyz president, said a U.S. Central Command spokesman.
