A Polish national accused of being a terrorist by the Syrian government has been released, reports Radio Poland, citing Czech and Polish officials.
Leszek Panek, 54, disappeared in Syria in December 2015. Some accounts said he was arrested by the Syrian army in Homs. He was charged for alleged terrorist activities and sentenced to death.
