After Ambush, Airstrike Kills 10 Militants In Paktika

A coalition airstrike targeted attacking militants in eastern Afghanistan Wednesday night, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.

Ten militants were killed, said a military statement.

The insurgents had ambushed a military convoy in Paktika province's Gomal district, prompting the troops to call in air support, military officials said.
