Niger's President Mahamadou Issoufou says foreign Islamist fighters are training rebels in northern Mali, reports Agence France-Presse.
Issoufou told the France 24 news channel in Niger's capital, Niamey, that his government has information on the presence of Afghans and Pakistanis in northern Mali who have been operating as trainers for those who "have been recruited in West African countries.”
