Parliament Speaker Bronislaw Komorowski, the acting president of Poland, has approved plans to extend the mission of the Polish contingent in Afghanistan for another six months, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
The contingent's old mandate expired on April 13.
The new mandate also includes an increase in the size of the mission to 3,000 troops, including a 400-man reserve in Poland.
