Afghan Pilots Hone Skills With Mi-17 Simulator

The Afghan air force is now equipped with a state-of-the-art Mi-17 simulator, reports the U.S. Air Force.
The Mi-17V5 No-Motion Level 5 Simulator reproduces Afghanistan's airspace, said Air Force Lt. Col. Chas Tacheny, deputy commander of the U.S. 438th Air Expeditionary Advisory Group.
Tacheny has helped bring the simulator to Afghanistan.
The simulator can recreate flying experiences in multiple weather conditions in day or night.
