Afghan Mission Bursts Budget, Says Report

The German mission in Afghanistan is costing more than three times its annual projected budget, reports Deutsche Welle, citing a new report.
The official budget was set at 785 million euros (US$981 million), but actual costs are closer to 3 billion euros (US$3.7 billion) yearly, according to the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW).
