Three brigades are among the 11,000 troops set for the next rotation to Afghanistan, the Army Times reports.
The Pentagon on Tuesday announced the following deployments:
• 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky. (3,700 soldiers);
• 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany (4,000 soldiers); and
• 2nd BCT, 34th Infantry Division, Iowa National Guard (3,500 soldiers).
