Poland's president says the rising cost of Poland's participation in NATO operations in Afghanistan has hurt the effort to modernize the military, reports Deutsche Presse-Agentur.
Poland is trying to reform and modernize its armed forces, at the same time it has 2,630 troops in Afghanistan, said President Bronislaw Komorowski during a visit to NATO headquarters.
